A thought-provoking photographic exhibition presented by ESPOL students in partnership with CCFD-Terre Solidaire.
Opening of the exhibition “Mining Extraction in the Andean Countries”
-
Hall du bâtiment Louise Weiss, 83 boulevard Vauban, Université Catholique de Lille
Students from the African Politics elective course, taught at ESPOL by Sara Dezalay, in partnership with the NGO CCFD-Terre Solidaire, invite you to discover a thought-provoking photographic exhibition at an opening event open to all.
Through the powerful images of Alessandro Cinque, winner of the Terre Solidaire Prize, this exhibition sheds light on the realities of mining extractivism in the Andean countries (Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina). His work vividly reveals the social and environmental impacts of these activities, while highlighting the dynamics of resistance and resilience among local communities.
The opening event will feature a talk by Sarah Ritter, followed by a convivial cocktail reception. Awareness-raising workshops on extractivism, led by the students, will also enrich the evening.
Free entry upon registration (mandatory)
