The salary is approximately 1,400 euros net per month in the first year, 1,563 euros in the second year and 1,825 euros in the third year.
2. Research grants
There are also a number of research grants available to finance a doctorate in France. These grants are generally awarded by public bodies, private foundations or companies. Eligibility criteria and grant amounts vary from one organisation to another.
3. Personal funding
You can also finance your doctorate yourself. This can be done by combining the doctorate with a part-time job or by having sufficient personal resources.
