The Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communication combines the analytical rigour of political science and social sciences with practical skills in communication, media and management.
Jointly created by ESPOL and ISTC, two schools of Université Catholique de Lille, this bilingual programme prepares students for careers in public communication, politics, media, advocacy and international institutions.
This programme leads to a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics and Management (specialisation in Political Science, Political Science and Communication pathway), awarded by ESPOL.
Overview
A contemporary programme at the intersection of political science and communication
Understanding politics today means understanding communication, and vice versa. At a time when social media, disinformation and artificial intelligence are transforming public debate, political campaigns, institutions and newsrooms, graduates who can understand and navigate these changes are increasingly sought after.
Delivered jointly by ESPOL and ISTC, this programme teaches students to analyse and practise political communication at a time when digital media, disinformation and AI are reshaping its rules. Graduates are prepared for careers in politics, media, public affairs and international institutions.
Language and intercultural skills
Students also develop the language and intercultural skills needed to work in an international environment. They study several foreign languages, including English, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese, Dutch, Korean, Polish, Turkish and BCMS.
A professionally oriented programme
The Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communication combines critical analysis with practical skills. Students are taught jointly by political scientists and communication specialists, with theoretical knowledge regularly connected to professional practice.
Students must complete eight weeks of internships over the three years of the Bachelor’s degree. They are also supported in finding internships through practical workshops and career-focused modules.
