Jerinë Musliu, who graduated from ESPOL’s Master’s programme in Global and European Politics, will join the ESPOL-Lab team in September 2025.

We are delighted to welcome Jerinë Musliu, recipient of the Eiffel scholarship from Campus France, who will be undertaking her doctoral studies in Lille.

Her research explores the paradox of protest in France, a country with a deep-rooted culture of public demonstration, by examining 23 major protest movements over the past 40 years. She investigates how different forms of civic engagement have influenced legislative outcomes, with a particular focus on the strategic potential of nonviolent resistance. Her work aims to understand how disciplined, peaceful protest can contribute to more sustainable and democratic policy reforms.

With an academic background in international law and political science, Jerinë has worked at the intersection of research, advocacy, and civic engagement, from drafting human rights policies and analyzing emergency preparedness to helping establish Kosovo’s rugby federation through legal documentation and compliance work, and founding Kosovo’s first women’s rugby team. Her experience reflects a commitment to bridging theory and practice to drive institutional change and social transformation.
