On Tuesday 29 April, ESPOL hosted the kick-off meeting of the INES (INclusivity in European Studies) project, the first ever research project coordinated by ESPOL and Institut Catholique de Lille.
Kick-off meeting of INES, the first Erasmus+ project coordinated by ESPOL

A project focused on diversity and inclusion
Launched in December 2024 for a duration of three years, the Erasmus+ INES project aims to promote greater diversity in European Studies. It particularly focuses on the inclusion of underrepresented groups— due to gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, health condition, or disability—among both current and prospective students.
Seven European universities are participating in this project: ESPOL / Institut Catholique de Lille, Neapolis University, the University of Malta, the European University of Flensburg, the University of Piraeus, Jagiellonian University, and PA Partners for Skills Development.
INES pursues several key objectives: identifying barriers to inclusivity in European Studies, designing more inclusive pedagogical approaches, and developing practical tools for educators, administrative staff, and learners.
ESPOL hosts the first in-person meeting
This gathering marked the first opportunity for consortium members from the seven partner institutions to meet face-to-face. The program included a general assembly, dedicated work package sessions, as well as time for discussion and Q&A.
