Laurie studied an English degree at Lille Catholic University and a BA in Litterature from Canterbury Christ Church University as part of the Erasmus exchange programme. Then she carried on her studies in the UK and graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Modern Foreign Languages). In 2017, Laurie returned to France and worked at l’Institut Social de Lille. She joined ESPOL in October 2019.
